The End of the Never-Ending Blanket

I've finished the enormous hexagon blanket that I started way back.   Finally!!!  It seemed to go on and on forever, I never thought I'd reach the end.

Its been packed and posted off to its new owner and I'm a little sorry to see it go.

Its been a long process making this blanket.  8ft by 8ft!  Enormous!

I thought I was near the end a few months ago but realised I needed to make another 48 hexagons - argh!  And, then I had to design a half hexagon to go along the edges and fill in the triangle gaps along the other two edges.

But, its finally done!  Hurray!  Feet up and a cup of tea next.

Pattern:
