Happy Halloween!!!

I love Calan Gaeaf (Samhain, Halloween) because I get to eat chocolate and burn stuff.  I toyed with the idea of getting all dressed up, borrowing a child and going 'round the houses collecting sweets but, after a causal glance in the mirror, figured I looked witchy enough as is.  Children available for borrowing weren't allowed out in the rain so I ended up buying my own trick or treat sweets.  Ah, bless.

I didn't get to burn a wicker man either, mainly because I didn't get around to making one.  If I had, he wouldn't have burned in this rain anyway.

So, armed with only a pumpkin and cooking utensils I gouged out its innards, made a pumpkin pie and carved the carcass into a ghoulish visage.  Well, I did burn something, albeit only a candle...

Have had two many slices of pumpkin pie and just a little taste of the whiskey.  I'll leave some out on the doorstep with a slab of bread so any wandering dead folk will be sated and won't be tempted to venture indoors.

Meanwhile, Gunther the cat made a tent under the spare room bed out of an old guitar case.  She nestled under there and produced four fat kittens!  I have kittens!!!!!

Hope you don't get nightmares from all the chocolates and sweets.

Nos dda :-)
