Back to work today and I'm most definitely not in the zone, firing on all cylinders or cooking on gas. In fact, my working day so far has been like collecting frogs in a bucket. I've been gazing out of the window, shuffling tarot cards and listening to the cat telling me all about what happened in the two weeks I've been away. It seems she had a great time - shame I don't speak cat.
I've got loads of things to get done which should be listed on my whiteboard but I sneakily slipped them on the back-burner when the cat wasn't looking. The most important task for today is emblazoned in harsh letters. Its the only thing on there at the moment and its been there for weeks - file my tax return. {{shudder}} The idea of it makes me want to run for the hills!
As I'm still in holiday mode, and seemingly determined to not get a thing done today, I've turned my back on the whiteboard with its cursed script. Plus, I can't concentrate on a tax return when I have yarn to play with....
I received a huge delivery of yarn from Cascade for my next book. The book will be full of ripple stitches worked in scrumptious Cascade 220 Superwash. Oh, its like Christmas morning opening the box and seeing all the gorgeous colours. The box is so big I can sit in it crossed legged with my laptop and cat. The cat isn't fussed at sharing though. I think I'll spend the rest of the day planning colour combinations for the book. Maybe I will get something done after all.
Happy Days!
