Happy New Year! & New Afghan Block Crochet Pattern

Happy New Year to you all!  I hope you all had a wonderful time!

I've been very busy this Christmas and feel exhausted.  I've managed to get a bit of crochet done but not as much as I was hoping.  I did rustle up this afghan block pattern....

The pattern is in my Ravelry store ....
I have plans to make a nice scarf using this square and pure wool in bright colours.

When I haven't been crocheting or stuffing myself with food and booze, I have been drawing Zentangles...Great fun - sooo relaxing!  Here are some snaps I took of them.  I'll scan them properly at some point because some of the details are missing.

I have loads of crochet plans for the new year.  There are three new patterns bumping around in my head just waiting to be tested and I have piles of suitable wool dotted around the place in preparation.  I'm hoping to design a pattern a fortnight!  I'd better get started....

  1. I'm loving your zentangles, they look highly addictive! Your granny square is lovely and will make a gorgeous scarf. Can't wait to see your new designs too, it's finding time to fit it all in that drives me mad. I've got all sorts of designs and ideas in my head but so little time to spend on them, very frustrating!!! Look forward to seeing your lovely creations. best wishes Sue x

  2. These zentangles look superb! I would love to have a set of enlarged prints of them, mounted on canvas. I'm sure it would be fun to draw some of my own, but I've already got so many projects on the go, I always run out of hours before I've finished half the things I planned to do!
