Camping, Granny Blanket and Bavarian Crochet

I'm busy packing my bags today, I'm off to spend a few days camping in the Llyn peninsular.  I can't believe how much stuff we are taking!  My fingers are crossed that the Weather Gods will see fit to send us sunshine and not horrendous rain.

Before I go, here are some hasty snaps of what I've been up to...

I've just managed to finish another snuggly granny blanket for Cumbrian Country Crafts

And, I've been trying out Bavarian Crochet and I love it!!!  Here's a couple of photos of what I've rustled up so far.  I'm making a blanket and can't wait to finish it!

I've finished!! YAY!

I've just finished weaving in the ends of my latest commissioned blanket.  The pattern is my Irish Rose Afghan pattern which is available for purchase here.  I made an extra 12 squares so that the blanket will cover a double sized bed.  The yarn used is Sirdar Calico which I hadn't used before but really like now.  It's turned out absolutely gorgeous and I don't want to post it away!

The weather here is rubbish so I haven't been able to take a decent photograph, but here's one anyway...

I'm already progressing on my next granny blanket and just thought up an idea for a summery scarf.  Will keep you posted!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend,
x

Progress...

I've been really busy going here and there so haven't been blogging much lately.  But, I have been plodding along with my latest crochet project.  I'm making an Irish Rose Afghan in Sirdar Calico.  The pattern is available for purchase in my Ravelry Store.  I really like working with the yarn and it blocks really well.  I'm really enjoying making these squares as a change to my usual granny squares.  Here are a couple of snaps...

I've got two new patterns up my sleeve which I'll post about this weekend.
Happy Hooking!
